Solomon Teye Mensah Addo Foundation Delivers Lifeline Water Project to Communities in Kpone Katamanso

The Solomon Teye Mensah Addo Foundation has successfully completed a transformative borehole project aimed at improving access to clean and safe drinking water for residents within the Kpone Katamanso Municipality, bringing renewed hope to communities affected by persistent water shortages.

The newly constructed borehole, which is expected to commence operations in the coming days, represents a major milestone in ongoing efforts to address water accessibility challenges confronting many households across the constituency. The initiative is expected to provide sustainable relief to residents who have endured months of unreliable access to potable water.

Speaking on the project, Solomon Teye Mensah Addo described access to clean water as a fundamental human necessity and reaffirmed the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to community-centered development initiatives.

“Water is life, and no community should struggle to access such a basic necessity. This project is not only about providing water; it is about restoring dignity, improving health, supporting livelihoods, and giving hope to the people of Kpone Katamanso,” he stated.

He further noted that the Foundation remains optimistic about expanding similar interventions to other underserved and hard-to-reach communities within the municipality through partnerships, community collaboration, and sustained developmental support.

Beyond the construction of the facility, the Foundation emphasized the importance of sustainability and collective responsibility in preserving the project for future generations. Beneficiaries have therefore been encouraged to adopt a strong maintenance culture to ensure the long-term efficiency and durability of the borehole. A modest community-supported maintenance contribution system is expected to aid regular servicing and operational upkeep.

Residents and community leaders have widely welcomed the intervention, describing it as timely, impactful, and essential to improving living conditions within the area. Many believe the project will significantly reduce the burden associated with accessing clean water while contributing positively to sanitation, public health, and everyday community life.

The borehole project forms part of the Foundation’s broader mission to promote sustainable development, humanitarian support, youth empowerment, and social transformation across Kpone Katamanso and beyond.

Through strategic grassroots initiatives and people-centered interventions, the Solomon Teye Mensah Addo Foundation continues to position itself as a growing force for community development and social impact within Ghana.
