Asantewaa Ayeh Priscilla UGSRC President Hopeful

Bio:

1. Priscilla Asantewaa Ayeh is a level 300 student pursuing Economics and Accounting and a resident of Akuafo Hall. She is a member of Assemblies of God Campus Ministry and currently serving as the Vice President of Glorious Child Old School Association and a member of Akuafo hall Senate. She's the founder of "Girls Code" and her mission is to empower young ladies with tools to work their way out of poverty, care for their families and strengthen their communities. She's a stanch member of Youth Action Movement where she assists in educating the general public about their reproductive health. She's a mentor, an entrepreneur, a motivational speaker, an ambassador for Wewater Company and a Sales Executive for International Institute Management Group. She is passionate about inspiring and motivating young individuals from deprived backgrounds to help develop their full potential and academic abilities, serving humanity with humility and she loves to see her subordinates fulfilled.

2. The desire to better and improve the welfare and interests of students to ensure a conducive environment for academic excellence, self-development and personal growth. Also, the zeal to help and impact positively the lives of young people not only on University of Ghana campus but on other campuses, in Africa and globally through helping them cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit and finally to empower people especially females not to be limited but also do more and great. 

3. The SRC is mandated to represent the students and their interests as well as seek their welfare. In our quest to serve in highest offices of the SRC, we earnestly desire to make the lives of University of Ghana students more comfortable, bringing out the creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit in the ordinary student. This is an awakening call; a call to action; a call for a united front; and call to defy the odds. We come with an all-inclusive policy framework to catapult the SRC to the next level. Policies including “10K”, “Dibi”, “Making UG more accommodating for students with disabilities”, “Honoring our Sports Men and Women”, “Sales Day” just to mention a few. The interest of every student matters and deserves due representation. We appeal to all and sundry to rally their unflinching support behind us to make the SRC greater. 2. Yes I did have a nickname in Junior High School and Senior High School. My Junior High School’s nickname was “Gorogoro” which meant “beautiful sexy eyes” and in Senior High School “Smart-Kid”, My friends called me by that because I wanted a name that would have a positive impact on me.
