Solomon Teye Mensah Addo Foundation Carries Out Sanitation Exercise at Gbetsile Government Clinic

Gbetsile, Kpone Katamanso — May 14, 2026

The Solomon Teye Mensah Addo Foundation has undertaken a community sanitation and environmental improvement exercise at the Gbetsile Government Clinic as part of efforts to support public health infrastructure and promote hygienic surroundings within the Kpone Katamanso Municipality.

The exercise, held on Wednesday, 14th May 2026, involved weed clearing, environmental cleanup, and spraying activities within and around the clinic premises. The initiative was aimed at enhancing sanitation conditions and reducing potential health risks associated with overgrown vegetation and poor environmental maintenance.

Healthcare facilities depend significantly on clean and well-maintained surroundings to ensure patient safety, prevent the spread of infections, and support efficient service delivery. The sanitation activity was therefore aligned with broader public health and environmental health objectives.

Participants worked collaboratively to restore cleanliness to key areas of the facility, including access routes and surrounding open spaces frequently used by patients and staff. The effort formed part of ongoing community support activities being implemented in selected areas within the municipality.

The Foundation indicated that the intervention reflects its continued interest in community development and public welfare, particularly in areas related to sanitation, health support, education, and youth engagement. It further emphasized the importance of civic responsibility and volunteerism in strengthening local institutions.

Community members and clinic staff acknowledged the exercise as a timely intervention, noting that environmental cleanliness remains essential for maintaining a safe healthcare environment.

The Solomon Teye Mensah Addo Foundation has reiterated its commitment to supporting similar initiatives in other communities, with a focus on sustainable environmental practices and improved public health conditions.
